Blue ladies dancing in the DS!

Just got home from a couple of days away, and got a nice showing of the blue ladies after reloading and turning the bimetal t-stat back to normal.

The coal used in the video is UAE Harmony.

Only got about 3-4" here but there is nothing like cozying up near a warm stove on a snowy day!

I have 2 oil fired boilers, one for me and one for my tenant, since my house is a side by side duplex. I had to repipe both boilers to put in my new hearth, and I was confident enough in coal heat that mine is still unhooked! Of course, being a cheap landlord, my tenant pays for their own heat!

Lookin' good! Looks like a nice fire to enjoy a cold brewski by!

I had about 37 hours between tendings. I had the chain at 6 balls from the end, and the t-stat at LO. I didn't check the stove temp but usually it will run 275-300 degrees at that setting. The house temp was 67 when I got home, and after shaking down, the coal bed was still full, and the hopper just needed to be refilled.

I purchased mine directly from the DS Machine Shop, they are in Gordonville, PA, just east of Lancaster. They are about a mile off rt 30 near the outlets. There may be a dealer closer to you, I am not sure. I would try giving DS a call at (717)768-3853.
