Same here. What sucks is I can't enjoy the new year with my wife. She had to go to the prison that is called Walmart. She's working 1800-0100. I hate Walmart.

The issue is not that she went to work. The issue is they treat her like a piece of property and not a human being. No, I hate Walmart for the way they treat their employees. You may hear about their poor treatment on the news but unless you experience it first hand it's a whole different ball game. I live with how they treat people day in and day out and hear about it every day. Frankly, if she coulf get paid at McDonalds what she's being paid at Walmart I'd rather her work there but she'd never get paid.

Hate to say IOF, it's the same in a lot of places for women. One of the biggest reasons for moving was my wives job/health. She made premadonna money in our little town, took a 1/3 paycut to come here. But the management was horrific. Sooooo... here we are and she's back in the same line of work. The management hasn't stepped on her yet but she can see the same problems arising. Time will tell, back on topic.
We are having zucchini stir fried with chicken breast and worcestershire suace and onion. Not to mention a glass(or 2 or 3) of Yellow Tail Shiraz. Yummmm.

I was up in town earlier and had a few slices from my favorite pizza joint. Now I'm eyeing up the last resident in that jar of half sours I bought the other day.

a friend of mine worked at walmart food distribution center in cessna pa. he was a working fool..started at 1o bucks and worked his way to 18.50 well they started picking..write ups.. when he got enough they fired him.. its cheaper to hire 10 buck an hour workers hell they can almost get 2 workers for what they were paying him...this aint the first case of this happening... we live in a depressed area, lot of people hunting 10 buck jobs and they (walmart) know it...thats how they keep prices down...

Marty made my Mom's recipe of home made macaroni & cheese. Real hand shredded cheddar & bread crumbs on top. Add a fried red hot dog & that's some fancy eats!

Yup. They are doing the same thing to my wife. Theu are nitpicking everything she does. Theu moved her to truck crew and put her in charge of Break Packs. She's the only one doing it. Some nights she has more than one truck no help and they complain she isn't done. When she says something about it they tell her tough, there is no help then she'll point out there are people standing around doing nothing. They tell her, oh well we can't spare them to help her. She has been in this store since it opened. Hell, she came home Sunday morning complaining they are cutting her hours again. We can't afford for her hours to be cut. We're already struggling as it is. They want her to quit. She says she won't allow them that satisfaction and they'll need to fire her first. She goes in every day and does what she has to. She hates Walmart as much as I do. But until she can find another job that can pay her $18 an hour she is stuck.

I've got a couple friends that work at Wally world here in Cortland for years & make a decent wage. They tell me that they just understand that walmart has been doing things their way from the git go--imagine that!!! and if they do their work & keep their mouths shut, things are just fine. I suspect if people have all sorts of complaints about how a company does things, they should start their own business & have free rein to do it THEIR way. I mean really, Frank Sinatra did that. toothy
