Shortbus, I have that cookstove cleanout tool you described above, but I didn't know what it was.

Post this same question in a new post under hand fired stoves and you will get a bunch of answers. A lot of the folks on here liked their bucket a day a lot.

They are common stoves and everyone made them. I see them all the time but pass on them. Most folks could not handle one anyway and then the lawyers would call. If you see one get it cheap. They are everywhere.
