With all the shipping and hauling and storage and cross tanking and placing the load in the right hole in the retail palace -- the call gas station - now more of "twinkie" store

Do you really think your getting fuel that isn't or hasn't been cross contaminated with the magic juice ????

Interesting note is the fiberglass tanks that many gas stations use cannot handle E15 gas. The E10 is the max they can handle before they start disolving. More cost to the consumer.

My latest pickup up is rated for upto E85. The mileage rating is about 2/3 that of E10 gas. So much for economy.

This stuff makes no sense to me, corn is for eating. Sell the corn to the Arabs for oil. One barrel oil to one barrel corn. Why make it hard?

Didn't all this corn production also screw something up in the farming community as well? And don't farmers need to rotate crop and fields? It seems to me that I heard something about dedicated ethanol farms?

Well... one word of advice, don't use dry gas to get rid of water in fuel, its already there(ethanol). Etnanols absorbs moisture. if water contamanated, just drain and put new gas in. water stays in suspension in ethanol, will appear cloudy. Thats why fuel doesn't last long stored.

It will last, but it's got to be 100% air tight. ANY air infiltration will cause the separation you described. Starts out cloudy, then separates into water on one layer, and a piss-colored liquid on the other layer. Neither is any more flammable than straight water.
