I've been running a spreadsheet on the 2011 heating season and the 2012 heating season for the Central Bucks area.

Degree Days:

October 2011 - 341.5
October 2012 - 302.5

November 2011 - 513.5
November 2012 - 735

December 2011 - 804.5
December 2012 - 819

Long range forecast for January looks like we'll be warmer than usual, but last year was pretty warm in Jan-Feb also. To date, I've used almost 2 full tons of coal, and I expect I'll be using ~2.5 tons to get through to the end of the Summer hot water season. Which is just about what I used last year, not counting the waste I had starting up my unit.
