Do you honestly believe that there will be an armed uprising to preserve the second amendment as currently written? What % of the citizens got off the couch to vote in the last election? You think there will be even a fraction of that willing to go out and play shoot-em-up?And as far as those knuckle heads still flying the confederate flag, there is a decent SAT score if you added them all up! Size 50 shirt , size 2 helmet....... If you dont start coming up with some POSITIVE suggestions like the one out of Arizona, a volunteer armed guard corps for schools ect, then you might as well resign yourselves now and quit bitchin' about it. Just sayin'......

Flyer5's article is really kinda on the money here. Thats exactly why we have a second amendment, and the fact is that the national guard is supposed to be our "well regulated malita". Thats why I dont feel the need to own an assault weapon , when the poop hits the fan Im heading for the armory. Too,from where we sit right now if we had to go to war with our govt. I think there would be mass defections from the other side, everyone's pissed at Washington.Meantime though everybody needs to put on their thinking cap

"Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without police protection is both. It is as cowardly to betray an offender to justice, even though his offences be against yourself, as it is not to avenge an injury by violence. It is dastardly and contemptible in a wounded man to betray the name of his assailant, because if he recovers, he must naturally expect to take vengeance himself."
