Hitzer 3095 free pea coal

Need some help .Got some free pea coal half ton .I always burn nut .Sort of lays there shook the hell out of it .Has some fines an buck in it too.Any sugestions .Thanks guys ,Den034071 jack

I believe you will need to mix it with your nut coal. The nut size will maintain the needed air space between lumps to provide a good burn. Be careful, the pea burns quicker and hotter so finding the best combination is critical. You don't want to overfire your stove, but you want to benefit from free coal and maintain a fruitful long heatfilled burn. Good Luck!

throw a layer of pea on top,it will slow down the burn a little and will not throw the same amount of heat.Save it till warmer weather to help slow the burn and when not as much heat is needed

I'm trying pea coal in my 30-95 at this very moment. Seams to burn nice and slow, just as I hoped. Yet, should I want more heat, I simply turn on the fan. I don't even need to crank up the air.
