They should have a testical buy back if they really want to make a difference. Pay people to get neutered. Give them $1000 cash to get snipped. Just THINK of the money that would be saved...

That is the most common sense thing I have ever heard :punk: , That would alliveate a lot of problems

I do get it .If you read some of my posts youd see Ive said that" I the discussion should begin and END with figuring out what makes people do these horrible crimes and not taking away yours or my right to bear arms of any kind .... Period. What some of you guys dont seem to understand is that image is everything . Your testosterone induced rhetoric only affirms the anti gun nuts' belief that you should have any part in the solution to this problem. News flash ... your making it easier for them to make their case.

Rwalker ,

Yeah but that scenario is far less tragic than the one where the same crack addict breaks into someones home to steal money for more crack; has the gun he might have sold back or another one and kills someone. The only legitimate argument that I can see is that taxpayer money is being wasted. That is mighty weak and I for one am a willing taxpayer and if it could save the life of someone someday I should think you should be ashamed if you werent too. Wake up before they have enough to take all our guns away! The" majority "remember? And by the way I also believe that you should have to get a license to have a child as well a gun....

Waldo, idiots make their guns available to their children without proper weapon training, sad example, but Ct is a fine example. That woman knew her kid was a whack job from the git-go. Get off your liberal high horse. It's unfortunate, but *censored* happens & will continue no matter what guns are turned in or what video games are outlawed--why don't we get back to the real problem---PARENTING

Arm every law abiding citizen and see what happens to that crack addict when he breaks in to steal money or items. Criminals prefer unarmed victims. And quite frankly, if crack heads and thugs want to kill one another, have at it. Thin the herd a bit. We have a moto at work, stab each other all you want, just dont turn that *censored* towards staff.

The panic of "they are going to take all of our guns away!" is getting OLD. It isnt going to happen. I would focus more on what you are going to do when all the money you have in the bank is worth squat, the US dollar tanks, and we have no oil. I believe that will happen LONG before they take all of our guns away. Are you aware of how many hundreds of thousands of guns are out there that aren't registered because registration wasn't always required? Do you know how many millions have changed hands dozens of times, never filling out paper work, just handing someone $300 and shaking hands and parting ways? There is no way to track these guns. My father has dozens of guns that are so old they dont even have a serial number, and they shoot perfectly. I also know a prominent business owner who owns over 100 handguns, none of which are registered to him. They were all bought second hand or traded to him for work.

No license for kids, just offer $1000 per neuter. There will be a line 5 miles long in every city, sure it will cost some money but in time will save millions and reduce crime by a huge amount.

Fred

There isnt a liberal sentence in my statement or a high horse. There is no, repeat no downside, to a gun buy back. For christ sake you guys are always complaining that you should be able to buy a gun whenever you want .Thats all thats goin on in a gun buy-back! Maybe it saves a life maybe not but anyone should have the right to buy guns ;you all say it all the time and the public has the same right! Further, if youll re-read the last sentence of my last post,SLOWLY this time , youll see that I 1000% agree that in most cases it comes down to the lack of parenting

me's think that any law that bans anything, just feeds more fuel to black market dealer. Example drug laws... theres more drugs available now then there was when drug laws went in to effect.

Prohibiton, again the same result. History has played out before on ban laws....never worked, never have, never will.

It will not happen with working, well off middle class people. Times are pretty good overall. Break the economy, create massive poverty by collapsing the dollar, and see what happens. You have to be able to AFFORD to resist. This is not the first rodeo for the people doing this. Americans are soft, we have not experienced warfare on our soil in 150 years. When they offer to take control and give stability for your obedience, many will follow for a good meal. That is why some of us are alarmed at the steady progression of events that have been predicted and have occurred in other societies in the not so distant past. And we know how they ended up. The bans and other hot button issues keep us distracted from the real events unfolding in the economy.

I know a old man in his 90s that ran a gun shop south of columbus. He used the gun buyback program they had years ago to dump all his broke up, junk guns he had gotten in trade. I thought that was a relly good idea cause he got way more out of them than he could have otherwise and it soaked money from a program that really shouldent be there.

Precisely, why should our tax dollars buy perfectly good(sometimes) firearms and destroy them? They are not illegal, they are not prescription drugs, they dont run around shooting into the air by themselves.
I object to the implication that they are evil and must be purchase (with our taxes) and destroyed. Let them be sold to legitimate dealers who will find good homes for the classics amongst them.
