How can you ever consider another country? You would need another planet, to my knowledge everything on our planet is owned by at least one evil Gov. or another & they all have some sort of stupid rules so you would have little other choice. Maybe you could get a ship with an long anchor but I'm not even sure you could get away with that but at least you would be your own metal country for a time at least.

So one country ISN'T "better" than another? How does that qualify us as the "best country on earth" then?

And if one isn't better than the next, why do you suggest I leave?

Also, I'm a little shocked to hear you admit that you have no control over your government. Seems like a dangerous place to live.

The USA is the best country on earth for ME, I never said it was for you. You seem awfully cynical and always seem to have a chip on your shoulder. The world is your oyster Jeff so instead of bitchin and moaning about how lousey everything is how about changing it or your situation? You have the same opportunities that everyone else has and I don't just mean here. Go after them and be happy!

What exactly am I "bitching and moaning" about?

Excuse me for pointing out the hypocrisy of the government. I thought that's what good citizens did.

Apparently I missed the memo that said it was my civic duty to shut up, roll over and take it like a man.

The best, freest country in the world now has a tax code longer than the Bible.

http://money.msn.com/taxes/news.aspx?fe ... d=15976693

At nearly 4 million words, the U.S. tax law is so thick and complicated that businesses and individuals spend more than 6 billion hours a year complying with filing requirements, according to a report Wednesday by an independent government watchdog.

That's the equivalent of 3 million people working full-time, year-round.

I'm quite certain this is what the Founding Fathers had in mind when they were dumping tea in Boston Harbor.

You're right guys. I'm the problem here. I should just shut up and be happy. I'll be so happy, I'll need a G-D belt sander to wipe the G-D smile off my face.

It's what Washington would have wanted....

The gist is I'm just asking questions that some people don't like to answer.

I should probably just leave the country though. I'm sure that's what Sam Adams would have done...

Hey if you think you're Sam Adams material, then do something about all these questions that people don't like to answer. I've said it in many of the posts. You don't like it, change it. You have the same ops as everyone else. You might brew up the next great Boston lager! :D

It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.

I allege that since you pay the government to use your house/property every year, that you are merely renting it. Miss a payment, and see who owns it.

Just because the landlord doesn't object to some of the stuff you do, doesn't mean you'll always get away with it and stories like this illustrate my point.

http://dailycaller.com/2013/01/07/legal ... d-freedom/

Several weeks ago, the City of Orlando notified us that our vegetable garden violated the city’s antiquated local ordinances. Either tear up the vegetable garden, they said, or else. The “or else” the city is referring to is a draconian system of penalties that would subject us to fines of up to $500 per day. This in a city that claims it strives to be the “greenest city in America.”

What was their "crime"? They planted vegetables in their FRONT yard. For that, they are looking at a $500/day fine.

Sorry folks. I just don't believe in the existence of "private" property in this country.

but if you grew Tobacco, instead of veggies, guvment would subsidize you.
