Even MA doesn't ban lead shot ... and our animals are fine. Rifles aren't allowed for deer season - shotgun only. Most use slugs, but some use shot ... but it's very messy. They just banned lead sinkers in freshwater last year. They can tell you whatever, and what choice do you have? True or not, they still banned them ... because it killed loons. Just for the record, I've never seen more loons in my life last year around the state. Not the left wing ones either - the REAL ones. The lead couldn't have been doing as much as they claimed.
Bottom line is, they want to take our guns. If they take our lead, then we can't make our own bullets when they tax ammo into un-affordability. Fits right into their agenda perfectly.
Arguments for lead? It's cheaper, easily bought, easily molded, easier on your barrel, & it's been in ammo for 300+ years for F's sake!
