No, I don't burn in the summer.. But I do idle it thru warm days on the shoulder months, thats when I risk draft failure.

Here's my $.02...

How about a "repeat timer" with a "stack temp switch" supervising it...only "repeats" if "stack" temp falls below the set point of "switch".

This is a highly adjustable circuit...One can adjust the "timer"...and even adjust the "stack switch" set point, allowing a nice range for "fine tuning".

...the timer should be "retriggerable"......so the cycle RESTARTS each time its enegized
...other wise it could potentially be in its "OFF" time when it is called upon...and depending on your repeat parameters...you could still lose draft all together while it "catches up"

The TORK EJWT "Percentage Timer" resets itself and starts counting time all over again from zero every time the current feeding it is dropped. A relay can be incorporated to drop the current to the timer whenever the stack is hot enough to draft sufficiently.

...i meant "one shot"..... triggerable or non should not really matter in your case... As you would be looking for a short fire to regain draft only...

p.s. MACROMATIC makes a huge selection of these type of timers.... and they are very affordable

I have a Macromatic repeat-cycle relay on my EFM...part # TR-63122. It restarts the cycle when the power is cycled. Mine begins with the "off cycle", but you they make one that beings with "on" as well.
