Can you see this happening here and why not?
Consider the case of the football players going on right now.

Hard to do to an armed woman or anyone for that matter.

That is terrible. Death penalty for rape should be here as well. That is part of the problem here as well the punishments are pathetic in some crimes.

I think now we're barking up the RIGHT tree. An eye for an eye and all that realistic stuff.

I brought this idea up on another forum:

""Police haven't dealt with the issue severely in the past. The message that goes out is that the punishment doesn't match the crime. Criminals think they can get away it," she said."

If the law isn't applied equally, then you breed a disrespect of the law. People see one guy get away something, so they feel like they can do the same plus a little. It's a downward spiral.

Don't forget this is a sick culture that's having a light shined upon it for the moment. It's a part of the process of their devaluing women's lives until they're worthless in their society. It starts a lot earlier than the raping of young women.

...specifically female infanticide reflects the low status accorded to women in most parts of the world; it is arguably the most brutal and destructive manifestation of the anti-female bias that pervades "patriarchal" societies.
