Hot Air Coal Stoker Stove: Keystoker 90

Post by gitrdonecoal » Mon. Jan. 14, 2013 4:36 pm

Hi it's been awhile since I posted. Been doing some searching about a brunco forced air furnace. I bought a hotblast back in 2008 like a lot of people did. Tried coal and been burning wood since for obvious reasons. A guy at work has a brunco. I see guys have put ash pan spinners on to add air under the fire. I'm seeing conflicting results of success in burning coal. Would I be wise to stay away from the brunco for coal use? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks
John

Mine works very well. I burn hard coal but the manufacturer recommends soft coal. I heat a small ranch and it stays quite comfortable. I have the 120 which was made to burn wood and soft coal. I added a draft to the ash pan door to burn hard coal.
