Just below zero yesterday morning and during the day was bitter. The temp got up to 10 or 12 but the wind chill was below zero all day. Warm & cozy inside!

29 and heavy frost, scary the way the locals drive. Pelonis electric heater barely running. :( I hate electric heat. I want a Glenwood!

I hear ya B! When I lived in Charlotte, NC, it was terrifying to drive after any amount of snow fell. I have this recurring nightmare of a "Wayne Robinson" pickup out of control, doing 360's while coming at me at 60mph on a country rd. Beer can flying out the back bed like shrapnel.

I woke up it was 14º out, stove got turned up to 450º last night and when I awoke the house was 68º. I ended bumping the stove up to 500º this morning, shook down at around 13 hours and refilled it. House is now 70º.2. If it weren't for this stove my furnace would be running constantly set at 65º. Now, it doesn't run. Unless I want it to.

We got down to 6 last night. Just North of the Mason Dixon.

Filled up with 2 buckets (5gal) around 9pm and stayed warm all night!

I wish I could crank it up to 75! but we're comfortable at 68.

Also -3 here right now and calling for -10 tonight and high of 8° tomorrow. This pattern will be with us in Maine for the next week or so now. We usually get one or two of these cold snaps in Jan or Feb every year up this way. Both the old Glenwoods are pumping it out and the old house is just shy of 70° which is as warm as I like it.
