Just got back from the state house where I attended the "Gun Appreciation Rally" and I have to say, the turn out was a bit disappointing.

I'd start filing the paper work reporting your guns "stolen" now because I have a feeling the bad guys are going to win this one.

You can't see it?

When they say "assault rifle", they mean "semi automatic" of which the AR 15 is a poster child. That's the easy one to ban.

The rest of the semi auto's are after that.

Good thing I don't have any then. I don't think it will fly for the entire US.

Hmmmm,interesting:

"In March 1982, over 25 years ago, the small town of Kennesaw – responding to a handgun ban in Morton Grove, Ill. – unanimously passed an ordinance requiring each head of household to own and maintain a gun. Since then, despite dire predictions of “Wild West” showdowns and increased violence and accidents, not a single resident has been involved in a fatal shooting – as a victim, attacker or defender."

Now if we look at Morton Grove then we have the perfect longitudinal study. Just this sample shows there is little statistical evidence between gun violence and the prevalance of guns. My neighbor to my left has the last name of Hatfield and to my right McCoy, should I be worried?

The problem remains that we search for facts to fight the battle, and have them on our side. But the Liberals are not interested in THE facts, they are interested in their facts and the end results. Emotion will be used and sayings like "common sense" (as in you don't have any) and "we must act now". It is a fight being held in the electronic media and instant messaging of today. Surprisingly, they seem to be losing it after dominating the general election with repeated lies. Jeep isn't going to China just being the latest. If they cannot get it done with this guy and his merry band of Marxist, it may never happen. I hope they show what they really are by going for it against the general will.

This state is a traitorous disgrace to America. The whole state needs to be tarred, feathered, & hung ... after I & the 50 or so normal people that live here get the F out of Dodge.
