Another Hot Air Jacket question?

PostBy: vegeta_ban On: Sun Jan 20, 2013 1:16 am

Hello all,

Is the Hot Air Jacket made for the Hyfire II different in size compared to the one made for the Pocono bottom vent?

Thank You.

Hi Flyer5,

Thanks for the answer. Would you be able to get me the dimensions for the Pocono sized hot air jacket? The reason I ask is I got a Hot Air Jacket from Jerry at the Drums, Pa store last fall and I really don't think it's the right size. The box it came in has Pocono written on it but when I was trying into install it yesterday it seemed to not be able to be built as easily as it is done on the video that comes with the stokers.

For example on the right and left side pieces I would have to drill the self tapping screws right into the very edge of the Pocono and then I still think I would be having trouble with mounting it on the Pocono.

My Pocono is a model from 2008. Would you like the serial #?

Thank you very much for your help.

If you could measure your jackets and post the dimensions here we will verify which set you have. Generally speaking if yours has a 12" duct ring on it the set is for a Pocono.

Hi again it's been too cold to turn off the coal stoker :D & burn oil=yuk  I finally got around to get the measurements.
The top piece with the hole.

The front is 27 & 1/2 in. The back is 27 & 3/8 in. The sides are both 20 & 9/16 in.

The left & right sides are 31 & 9/16 in tall. The part on the front that gets drilled into the front of the stove is 3 & 3/8 in wide.

By the way my Pocono is 22 in wide is that what it has been as long as they have been made?

If this doesn't make sense to you let me know because my son took the measurements & I'm questioning these #'s myself.

Thanks again.

Yup that is a Pocono Top alright

Yes all appears to be in order

Yes the size has not changed, the feeder went from 90K to 110K and the convection fan went from a single 212 CFM to double 265 CFM units

I sent a PM in response to yours, sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
