i had a bathroom fan that matt gave me for combustion air till last winter......i bought this pair of noisy dayton motors for the feed and combustion last fall.....had to rebuild both of them this fall
my convection blower just died on my alaska tonite........the smoke escaped too.....stink of burnt motor.

The fire has been getting lazy, draft low, and heat has been poor the last few days. I found few inches of fly ash in the horizontal pipe running over to the chimney tee. Problem solved! I need to get a tee with a cleanout cap installed instead of the elbow, it would have been a 10 minute job instead of 1+ hours. :mad:

After over 2 years of service, I have retired the Alaska. Right now I'm burning foul oil for DHW, the Alaska is leaving this Sunday for it's new home. Details to follow.
