Just installed my own stoker. It's been running about a week. Seems great so far but I don't really know, except from the desciption in the manual, :) what the fire is supposed to look like. Doeas anyone have a good picuture?

I was supposed to get a picture of a good fire. I'll try tomorrow again.

After the stoker motor shuts down, and the fire settles, do you see a dark spot in the middle of the bed? I responded to your post in another area of this forum.

I know that is not a standby or idle or thermostat satisfied fire. Is that a normal amount of fire, when the thermostat 'calls' for heat? What feed rate do you think it is at? About how many Btu's do you think is being produced?

Looks like a stoking fire in a warm air furnace to me.

i have a forced air stoker.....it runs all the time.....no timer or thermostat.....Yet.......with it so warm today, i have it cut back to one feed tooth and the air at 1 3/4

Yeah, I know. I can see the baffle plate is warped. :)

A thermostat and timer relay would make your life easier and your wallet lighter.

that tin plate was warped when i got the furnace and the tin shed in pieces off of someones property
