Someone in PA, near the PA NY border could keep your illegal NY rifle in their safe. Would you as a NY owner of that rifle, have to register it still? Or is it possessing it?

What if there is a fist fight at some guys July 4th beer party, cops are called, "Homeowner has a registered assault rifle" comes over the police radio, 25 cops show up in full assault gear? The newspaper article a few days later would read "473 rounds mistakenly fired by police into gas grille." I feel sorry for you NYer's. If that crap passed in my state and was not overturned by the courts, I would move, seriously. Clip limits are one thing but those laws are beyond crazy. So you only have 7 rounds in your clip and a cop or agent is looking at your gun and for some reason he/she doesnt like you. So they just slip a couple more rounds in the clip and arrest you, and probably seize your guns. if you must live under those laws, I would make my clips and magazines impossible to hold over the legal amount... or hide them. There are plenty of states that will never pass that kind of crap. Even my liberal state wont cuz a lot of my state congressmen are gun owners.

To think I actually visited that cesspit several times in my younger days. If I never set foot there again, I will have lived a full life.
