Can someone tell me aprox how many pounds of Nut a 18"x 27"X 10" fire box holds.

I'm just going to do a real rough (Freetown Style) guesstamit & say between 80 & 110 lbs--I'm sure the calkylator people will chime in if you need SPECIFICS--how much have you had in it??? :)

I buy coal by the bag, and looking at my stacked bags you described approx. 2 bags @ 40 lbs each. So I would say 80 lbs. Maybe a hair more.

Should hold around 140 lb or so. 2.8 cubic feet @ 50lbs per cubic foot :) Now that's level. Probly a bunch more if it was heapin' :D

Thanks all, I am just curious and wasn't sure of the formula. I tend to believe once I pile it up it's probably closer to the upper limits of those guesstimates, thanks.
