One valuable lesson with koker

Talking about the heat in front of your stove, the last two winters when my stove was crankin, I could hardly touch my stove if at all. But this winter I can lay my hand on it all day. The only thing I did differently was due to circumstances I had to get my coal from somewhere else. Any suggestions?

I dont see how you could touch the front of a koker at all!

There is no double wall in the front so that temp gets up there!
