Oil of Oregano,,,, some NASTY tasting stuff !!

Felt a little cold coming on, wife says try this. She had me stick out my tounge and hold it up while she put 2 drops of this oil of oregano under it,,,,,,,, aaaggghhhhh ! This is suppose to help get rid of a cold ? Sure does taste NASTY,,, and stays with you most of the day. I would rather deal with the cold than take the oil !! I wonder if she was just getting back at me for the prank i pulled on her last week,,,, whatcha all think ?

Next time tell her you want a shot of brandy.

Try flax oil, you can't get rid of the taste with kerosene.

Not to sound like a commercial, but I'm totally convinced that "UMCKA" is a great way to help ward off or beat down a cold. In Germany (where 'Umcka' comes from) it is a prescription only medication primarily prescribed for and approved for Bronchitis. But since Umcka is all natural, being extracted as it is from the roots of a lowly South African germanium know locally as the Umckaloabo plant, it can be sold here without a prescription. The Germans have in trials determined it to have both antibacterial and antiviral properties, and I recall reading somewhere that 90% of bronchitis is viral in nature. Antivirals are quire rare.

Umcka can be found in the USA primarily in natural food stores and in natural healing centers and pharmacies. Why is Umcka not being researched (or advertised) by our American mega corporations collectively known as "Big Pharma"? My own speculation is that there is no money in it for them, since being all natural, anyone can sell it already. Due to the structure of our laws which permit natural things to be sold without a prescription, Big Pharma's domain (means to mega bucks) is strictly in the realm of the lab synthesized stuff, not the natural stuff.

When you are really old you remember linctus diamorphine (heroine) for terminal lung cancer, the only thing that stopped the cough. Now that was a cough medicine in carefully moderated doses for ordinary colds but for obvious reasons was banned. Even better and in the old pharmacopeias was Bromptons mixture. Gordons gin, cocaine and heroine, colored with tartrazine and flavored with anise, you didn't care that you had cancer, way to go. Now cancer victims must suffer with useless NY pols saying cut back the medicine. All the good stuff is now only taken by members of congress. Ah the good old days. Stick with CN, a mine of completely useless information. Oregano and some other off beat stuff that has very potent antiviral activity, the strongest being elderberry.
