This is a pretty clear indicator that we're on a downward spiral as a nation. At least they won thanks to the Institute for Justice.

Socialism means no private property. It's all theirs.

Yep - that seems to be the way things are headed.

Not to long ago there was a big case that made the national news from CT - an eminent domain case where the people lost. They basically bulldozed an entire neighborhood for a pharmaceutical company. Then a while later the company pulls out of the area ...

Mario Como first got attention as the lawyer for the fighting 69 as the group were called that objected to their homes being seized to build a school. They lost and the homes were destroyed but Mario won big and went on to a political career.

The school was never built.

Don't dozers get bogged down if the horse manure is too deep?

I was born and raised in Albany. Corner of Western Av and Partridge Street. 57-69. There was an old brick building there that was a dry cleaners; it was one of the oldest train stations in the area at one time.

First time I ever saw a bike stolen; a you know what came up from the downtown area, and conned Charlie Canning out of his bike. We must have been 7 or 8. The kid goes; "Hey, man. Please help me! Somebody just stole my bike, please let me borrow your bike, I think I can catch him! Please!" He rode off on Charlie's stingray....

They put in the college dorms across the street. In the summer, they would set up a trampoline in the grassy courtyard, and let the neighborhood kids take a turn. I remember "Light My Fire" by the doors playing. First time I ever saw somebody smoking a number. '67 riots, they came up in gangs, walking up hudson Av; and everybody stayed in their apartments. The whole area was our playground. We were probably 7 or 8, and allowed to take the city bus out to McKeown's Grove by ourselves. That was a little lake area you could swim at.

Sorry for the nostalgia. My nephew's wife worked at the hospital a couple years ago, he told me she said, "Can't they wait to start shooting until the nighttime?"
