No longer is it just regulation and taxation of a good to discourage behavior, but now, penalties for those people that partake in such behaviors. It will be difficult to determine one's own destiny once government controls healthcare and ALL life decisions are regulated based on the argument that individuals are irresponsible and cost the rest of us money for their poor decisions. Soon there will be no corner of your life left untouched by the government, which, of course, knows best.

They claim a multi billion dollar cost of treating smokers illnesses. But they're fine with multi billion dollar tax revenues on tobacco.

Where i work, the gov, they are offering eligible retirees up to $25,000 to retire now. They are looking for 150 people to retire now. Yet all the talk about saving money wherever you can, and the fitness and Zumba and all that exercise programs are still running full blast.

I remember someone denying there were going to be any death panels. I remember someone saying they're not going to pull the plug on grandma. No wonder we don't trust the SOB further than we can throw him. Just another reason to hang on as hard to the 2nd amendment as we can. After that goes we won't be able to keep any freedom.

I was just thinking on the way home how those morons that voted for him a second term feel now. Are they happy? He was terrible his first term but he is literally tearing everything apart now.

Which is what the Bamster promised..."to fundamentally change America". Which is what we're getting and If Hill-zilla runs next (which is most definite) we had best hope we control both houses because she will win, I've no reservations about that.

They did this sort of thing at a job I used to work.

They called it a health program of some name, and if you signed up for it they would take $100 a month off your Health Insurance costs or something. It was "voluntary", but high enough of a difference so that most employees signed up. Once in the program they would ask you medical questions and basically assess the high risk people with health issues from the more healthy; and guess who got laid-off when the slow times came?

When National health Care came, I knew they were going to do this same thing on a national scale.

I just cannot figure out why the Liberals want to squash every right that living people have in the name of health and yet fight to the death to murder unborn babies.
