Stoves and Coal

Stoves and Coal

PostBy: TOM_IN_MASS On: Sat Jul 30, 2005 12:12 pm

I'm thinking of installing a Coal fireplace insert. I'm in eastern Mass just north of Boston the best quote I can get on bagged coal is $270 a ton, anyone know where I can get it cheaper?

Also looking at the Hitzer insert as it allows a 35 pound hopper and others do not. anyone know of other inserts that allow a hopper that may be better?

Thanks

Bagged coal is usually twice the cost as buying it in bulk even in this area. You probably won't find it cheaper than that.
