yup, increase the feed rate. The amount of fire you illustrated is just a little more than what is burned while the stove is at idle and NOT heating your house. At full burn you should have only about 1" of ash at the end of the burn plates and about 3-4" of hot coals.

Here is the manual :

That looks like a mighty small duct coming off the top to distribute heat ?

I was going to say the same thing- you can't heat anything with a 6 inch pipe. Also, that fire is way too small.

Yes, we're now getting somewhere. Increase feed, and install a plentum, not a 6" pipe. You can then run many 6" pipes, or a main heat trunk off plentum. Good catch on the 6" pipe! How did us earlyer replier's miss that one!

I dont think anyone missed it....the OP just didnt need anything bigger than the 6" pipe right now :D
we gotta focus on MAKING heat.....lol

... but yes good catch!... when that stove is running properly you will need a lot more than one 6 inch pipe to distribute the heat!!!

Is this an outdoor coal furnace? If it is I once had the same problem after hooking it up. I could not get the boiler to go above 120degrees no matter what I did. It ended up being a timing problem. The auger was running too fast and bringing too much coal into the burner. Once I had the auger going the proper speed, and the air adjusted properly I could get 180 easily.

Like others have said, you NEED a much larger plenum. Remove that 6" pipe, install a plenum header and at least 4 or 5 6" runs.

Then to get more heat, check the feed adjustment screw and if it's set, you need to see if the red LED on the side of the Taco controller (green box) comes on when the thermostat calls for heat. If it is coming on, make sure the stoker feed motor is spinning feeding coal. The fire you showed us is only an idle fire as you said you added pins to the timer. The timer should only need 5 or 6 pins every 10 minutes.
