Poll: What percentage of your homes heating is from coal?

Lets keep this poll to those who burn coal for residential home heating only please . What percentage of your homes annual heating is typically accomplished via burning coal?

I'm at 100% for the past 2 seasons.

I check the furnace once a year to make sure it still works. 100% coal since it got here

100 % this year....
When house is complete we will have a propane insert (more for looks and easy on /easy off..no mess fires)
...i cant imagine heating this place with oil (no NG available)

At least the past 8 years with 100% coal.

Yep same here. My steam boiler is brand new maybe 30hrs on it. I drain it monthly and when it's below zero will kick it on to spread the heat around but thats about it. It is backup for the pipes when I travel.

I voted 100% but I just remembered I fired up the oil boiler one morning about 2 weeks ago. I normally have the flue pipe removed and the breach capped plus a wire disconnected from the burner on the oil boiler so I don't lose heat up the flue. So i guess my true answer is 99.999%. I won't be firing it again unless I win a trip to the tropics this winter.

I fire my oil burner up the first day of each month for 1 heat cycle
I have only 4" oil oil in my tank the last 3 yrs.

100% Coal for the past 9 years. Heat and DHW.
