Best "FARMER" Super Bowl Commercial

I didn't really watch the Super Bowl... not that interested...

BUT my wife asked me to check the score for her work football game and I happened to tune in right when the commercial below was on.

I'm biased but I think it was a great commercial and 80% of people watching have no idea just how right Paul Harvey is and how hard Farming really is... IT was great that Dodge took time (and 2 minutes during the Super Bowl to the tune of $6M ) to recognize the real Farmers out there.

Many times if you drive out to the remote parts of the country I am not convinced that that even know you can buy trucks other than from Detroit and for many farmers a big US truck is essential. So it's just advertising - sorry. If they really cared they would build them properly. The RAM truck I owned was an absolute total POS the second worst auto ever just behind the 80s Caddy diesel.

I've got the original or at least several yrs old video when Paul Harvey did it. No truck commercial, just about farmin. I've had it in my FAVORITES for ever & if I wasn't so dumb I could probably cut, drag or what ever the hell all that stuff is to post it--but, alas, I am all that cn, lighten up, it was only a commercial indeed.

The problem with TV and other forms of entertainment is that
it's hard to tell who is alive and who is not.
Paul Harvey is not right, he WAS right. Died 2009.
Like Elvis and Charles Shultz, his estate is still sucking
the tit of genius.

I agree with you Mark, it is a nice recognition of the american farmer.

Indeed, too many walks home in the snow to forgive.

I'm also biased, on my second Dodge truck, never had any problems. All of our other vehicles happen to be Jeeps, they don't break either.

I honestly have had about every make of truck in the past. I've had more Ford Trucks than either Chevy Or Dodge. But haven't had a "lemon" amoung any of them and they served me fine. Everything Mechanical will break even at times with proper maintenance. Friction and wear are real. I am fine with any make as long as it gives me reliability within reason... And I'm glad Dodge took time to salute the American Farmer. Period. Granted I didn't watch the Super Bowl much but I haven't heard of any other commercial in regard to Farmering coming out of it. (did see the Bud commercial for the Clydesdale and Liked it also, but I'm not starting a thread about that... )

Any vehicle is good, when it works. I've owned trucks from all of the "big three" and have had success with all, I just happen to like the Dodges, and Jeeps.

Good commercail for the recognition of farmers and farming and the quality/passion of life it is. Referencing it, as to how it carries over to thier product, is in the eyes of the buyer. men are not all created equal , and neither is one make of vehicle. there will always be lumps in fresh mashed potatoes. Suck it up and be Happy for what ya get/got.
