The newly drilled and fracked natural gas wells about 300 yards from behind the house are now lit off to purge of drill & frack crap. this is just one of the 2 wells there being burned off. Sounds like i am back on flight line with a few F-4 phantoms running at 40% power. roars, and has high pitch shrill. I was about 200yards away taking the pic, pipes about 45' tall flames coming out of. The best is yet to come, when they let if go full flow, in a few days and burn at that flow for a few days.

Geeepers Mr Bill! Can you somehow get that heat to come to your living room?

Any noise ordinance around there? If it's temporary I'd understand. Is there anyone besides you that's within earshot?

That would never fly in this state. :funny:

It would be on the front page of every paper and the lead story on every local channel until they got forced by the gov't to cease and desist. People here would cry so loud you;d be able to hear them a mile away OVER the sound of the torch.

That looks familiar!!!! I had one of those almost in my back yard for 5 weeks this summer.

Drilled 6 holes, fracked 2, one 6K feet, one 10K feet deep. They are the first in our area, test holes.

It was actually in 2 parts, first was for a week, one flare, plus a blower, 60-100 foot flame, was daylight 24-7. Yes it was loud. You could easily see it 10 miles away. The first flame was probably twice as high as the picture.

Next was 2 flares for 30 days, no blower, bout 60 foot flame. Wasn't near as intense since there were 2 flares at once. And much quieter. (the one in the picture)

Story goes, the wells produced so well that one single flare couldn't keep up. After 7 days, hauled all the equipment away. Gas people said they didn't believe the results and to do it again. So in comes the equipment again, twice as much. End of story, the wells exceeded everyones expectations. ......... I can't wait for the royalty checks to start rolling in!!!

Also, they were getting crude oil out too, about 6 tractor trailers a day (maybe more) I saw getting hauled out.
