Tell everyone who wants any sort of gun control to put this sign on their door or in their yard:

This Home is Proudly Gun Free

Saw this in a stockroom of a store today while doing an inspection. I started laughing. Idiots.

There is only one way a gun free zone works and that's if there is metal detectors and gaurd to make sure everyone is disarmed.

If ever I'm hurt by a bad guy in a gun free zone. I will be suing for not providing protection while I'm disarmed.

I think that's the point. I don't believe anyone in the video actually believes the "Proudly Gun Free" thing.

I'm seeing more and more of these signs popping up around Northern VA. That region of VA is solid blue and very anti second amendment. Our carry conceal law states that no weapon will be carried anywhere the property owners post a no weapons sign. The credit union put one up just last week as did a couple of mom and pop's stores at the strip mall. The credit union does have armed guards, though, but that's the same strip mall that from which our Suburban was stolen and the TJFridays was robbed at gun point not long ago; not a nice neighborhood at all. It's funny how folks think advertising their vulnerability is going to help with their security. I'll let you know how that works out in the long run. :o Lisa

Hanging signs out front is like putting a target on it. That's why the shooter in Colorado picked the theater he did. They were the only theater in the area with a sign denying CC. :(

So how is that different than establishing gun free zones? Schools already have that sign on them except you don't see it.

Lisa, they must post that sign at EVERY entrance to their store or mall. You can legally walk into the entrance that doesn't have the sign, WITH your CC, and be completely within your rights.

Good thing they post signs. It also lets me know where not to be and who not to buy from.

yes and no

while it is accepted that you can enter a store attached to such a restricted area [such as a mall] that has "mall" entrances posted - and it is accepted that you conceivably could enter the restricted 'mall' area via that unrestricted entrance

IF - you are confronted by 'mall' store security in the restricted area and asked to leave - you must beg forgiveness and hope the NAZI has had a good day -or you will be in line for a citation that could take your CCP away - YES you could fight in civil court and likely win but consider the cost of that fight

IF you are caught with your weapon on board- and allowed to leave because of the loop hole described above - you best not EVER be caught again in that location and situation - because a second chance will usually not be forthcoming - these Nazi's do keep their records and do love to be the all and powerful

That written---- we are chatting about CONCEALED CARRY -- AND IF YOU ARE TRULY DOING YOUR JOB OF CONCEALMENT - Why would you ever be confronted? You are supposed to look like all the other sheep in the mall.

Be the Ball!

This truly is a "GREY' Area rule - the only correct answer is "It Depends" on who confronts you and why and how big a poop they want to be that day

and as poops go - there are people on both sides of this drama that qualify
