One battery will disappoint, better have 2 or more, and deep cycle batteries. Auto batteries will disappoint, they are not built for back up use.
Todays inverters are smart, they disconnect automaticaly to save you from ruining the batteries by draining too low, but you are back in the dark, though. :roll:
