Hi Lisa - Freddy comparing the Mark I to the Vigilant II is a fair comparison except when it comes to paying to listen to a fan run. Both stoves are rated around 50,000 Btu/hr.. I agree with one part your quote, it's not a monster but will likely roast you out in a small space. :verycool:

I was looking at the overpirced used stove in your original post and agree that it's likely a knock-off.

Lisa, in my opinion I think that Mark I will roast your husband out of that room, even idling.

Remember, I heated this entire house with that for 3 years .... and this place isn't noted for it's superb insulation and protection from wind .. AND we're way up here in MA. ;)

It's a tiny unit, but boy does it make heat! It's size is deceptive.
