really need help with this one!

koker 160. this is brand new this season and has ran as expected so far. however, i returned home from work and checked on it and heard a noise coming from the small white fan for the stoker. this turns on when the feed motor is turned on. there is oil residue and drips of oil as well. i have to believe an o ring or something let go or something but this thing is brand new. it run as it should, only its a little noisier. should i be alarmed? should this be under warrant from the dealer or kerstoker? how hard is this to replace and how long should it take to do so? thanks agian guys.

sounds like a sealed motor lost is seal, go the dealer you bought the stove from and they will handle it. it is certainly under warranty. If their was a manufacturer card to fill out when you bought it... make sure you fill it out and send it in as the owner!

I know my keystoker had dripped just a little bit from the gearbox onto the stoker motor when it was new, they may overfill the gearbox it a bit and when it heats up a little seeps out. I have had my stove for about 8 years with no problems (as long you clean it out every spring and do the proper maintenance for the off season). Put a paper towel down under it and keep an eye on it. if it continues, talk to your dealer.

Heres what im dealing with. Plus its getting the blower fins oily.

Keystoker will warrenty/fix this for sure.
Give your dealer a call asap...and they should assist you with it

My koker's fed motor showed the same spray pattern of oil last year (first year, brand new), but not enough to drip like yours is showing. Haven't checked it out this year, but it is still running like a champ.

If it were mine I would give Keystoker a call to see what is considered normal or not acceptable. Based on that conversation, the dealer is where you go for help with the problem. My gear reduction motor has been in service for about 5 years now and is bone dry since day one.Many times over the years [cars,mowers,appliances etc] we all have probably heard the line from the seller,"Don't worry about that,they all do that".Maybe,maybe not. Just don't let the warranty expire before you come to a conclusion.I think that little motor is about a hundred bucks. MIke

gratz on that, would be good to give the dealer some props so others will know they did the right thing by you and the manufacturer (this is exactly how its supposed to happen). Manufactures rely on their dealers to take of this type of stuff and customers also should first contact the dealer with these things... well done sir!

Absolutely. Dennis coal in fabius ny. Got the stove there for $100 under msrp plus they gave me 500 lbs of rice coal and let me pick it up at my convenience. Plus they gave me a Dwyer manometer at no cost. They treat my stepfather the same way...as a valued customer. Next season I'm burning bulk and they will get my business, to the tune of 5 tons

I assumed it was dennis coal...thats where we purchased our A150
