NOOO! I always wanted to try their coal. I was actually planning a camping trip in PA again like last year, but this time I was planning to visit PA with a trailer. Some say that their coal is the Rolls Royce of coal. Who has the 2nd best coal in PA?

Anyone burning Direnzo coal? If so what kind of results are you getting? how is the ash content? Are the sizes ok, is the buck coal sized properly/
What kind of prices does direnzo have? is the price the same or different for all sizes?

Mitch

Mitch, you had a tour of the processing plant. What did you think of the sizing? All I can say is that it might be a few bucks more than some other coal companies....but....the majority of the people that buy it keep coming back. Try it, if you don't like it try someone else....no hard feelings :)

I have 6 tons of DiRenzo rice in the basement and it is very good quality.
I had it delivered for $255.00 a ton. Not sure what it is at the plant.
It beats the hell out of what I had last year and is equal or better that the
UAE I had two years ago. Ash is about equal or less than Superior with
very little unburned coal. I'm burning on a flat bed stoker so there are no
clinker problems.

I am extremely pleased with my nut coal from Mammoth Materials. The $150/ton price makes it even more attractive. Even if UAE would remain open, I would probably stick with the coal from Mammoth.

I'm going to guess.... until they announce an exact day, it's as it's been for some months....they don't know exactly when they will close. Might be a week, might be a few months. I'm still hoping to buy a TT truck full in March.

best move I made july 2011 was to get a tri-axle load of nut delivered, $150 a ton plus $12 to deliver 60 miles one way to harrisburg
This winter added an Alaska Stoker in my garage, Now to talk the Mrs. into a tri-axle of Rice for the Stoker

I called Direnzo Coal today, $190 a ton if you get loaded there. A little too rich for my blood.

I called Mammoth Materials, they stated $150 a ton, but a few coworkers told me the last time they went there , they had mixed their pea and nut coal. I cannot burn pea very well.

I hope to get some coal from UAE on MOnday, maybe I will make two trips.

Dan
