Ok I feel like a real idiot. Last night I finally did what everbody is saying about load the furnace, give the top some air and wait about 15 to 20 minutes and shut the air off of the top and let it do its thing. I was trying to burn this thing like burning wood and wow, what a huge difference between the two fuels. I burn my wood kinda hot because I don't want creasote and I allways let the wood get ignited good. I think I have this coal thing figured out at least to the point of getting some nice heat out of it and making it last longer. I still have to get the draft figured out so I can have good consistant heat. That will come in time. I want to say thanks to all of you who have taken the time to help me out with this. If I can ever be of any help to any of you, say answering questions about building a house or somthing just let me know. I would be more than glad to help out. Thanks again. Doc
