I am trying to find some Ready-mixed refractory cement from lowes or home depot to repair my thimble. I see that lowes sells Oatey "Furnace/Stove Cement Model # 35515" they claim its refractory but their website says it conforms to astm 136 not c 199. Home depot sell Hurcules "High heat furnace cement" but I cant find the ASTM #. Any ideas?

I use Colco retort and refractory cement. You can get it at a good plumbing supply store. Places like Lowe's don't carry the good stuff
