white crust running down koker

Seems to be coming from the bottom corners of the hopper where it butts up to the back of the furnace. It was dripping on the junction box so I taped it up and that stopped it. Any idea what it is?

Me thinks you got some dribbles at your hose connections in that box--just a hand fired guy, but that's what it looks like to me.

Is your coal wet? While my coal is stored (bagged blacksak), the bags will form white/yellow mineral deposits on the bags as water evaporates off them. These deposits also occur at the outside corners of my hopper, but not quite to the extent of running down the side of the stove like yours.
