What Happens When I Invite Somebody Over.

What Happens When I Invite Somebody Over.

PostBy: wsherrick On: Sun Feb 24, 2013 7:24 pm

I am off work for a few days and so I invited an old friend to come up to visit.
For some reason when I have company during cold weather, I don't get to sit in rocking chair.

Well, there is nothing like a warm base heater, a William made cocktail and The Hot Fives on the Gramophone to get you in the proper state of mind.
It cures most problems with stress and the modern need to be in a hurry to go nowhere for absolutely no reason what so ever.

Yep, sitting by the coal stove is therapeutic for me...I'm serious!
There's nothing like sitting near a stove while watching it snow like crazy out the window.

Bravo Will. Your words and the photo are the best therapy for most of the actual society problems. All is so fast now!

I like central heat but, point source heat has it's virtues.

Where is the dog? Gotta have your best friend curled up and close so you can stroke some fur when the liquid refreshment runs out. Now that would be THE perfect picture to balance the crazy world we live in. Mike

No, that's not me, this is my friend Mark.
I have a couple hundred pre 1930's recordings and several phonographs.
The one in the picture is a Columbia Graphophone, model BI, made in 1906.
The record playing when the picture was taken was: Basin Street Blues by the The Hot Fives.
