Anyone like the idea of possibly incorporating a Coal Burner's Swap Meet during this gathering? Just putting this out there to see if it might be of some interest.
I was thinking others, if like myself, may have accumulated some excess coal burning paraphernalia that may be of interest to some other members.

I like the idea of some raffles (I know its unfair to lay that all on Rich) but it would be kinda fun (free ton of quality anthracite from Richards private stockpile)
as far as the swap thing... sounds fine, im just not sure their is enough people or products to really make it viable. I think a better way is IF you do indeed have some useful stuff, bring it and make a few inexpensive tickets to draw a winner (the only problem is I know some states have laws requiring permits for a raffle that "charges money"). I don't think its a big deal or if theirs anyway to get over that hurdle? just my thoughts...

This is the best idea that my garage has heard in a long time. Hopefully the venue has parking spaces for tractor trailers?McGiever wrote:Anyone like the idea of possibly incorporating a Coal Burner's Swap Meet during this gathering? I can travel from Illinois with 3 stoves for sale. Harman, vermount castings and a antique coal kitchen heater. Clean out the barn. Can this meet support this sale? Meet turn out? George
