Good day! Please, come in, have a cup of Jo & spend a few minutes. All good people here. The coffee & Tea are hot & the pots have no bottoms it seems. French Toast & bacon is cooking. Something about real maple syrup & bacon. Mmmmm. Almost as good as a bacon & peanut butter sandwich. There's a heart stopper!

Crazy weather this week. Mostly "seasonal temps" of teens at night & around freezing during the day. But as each day comes it's different. Sun, snow, rain, freezing rain, we've had it all this week. I'm looking forward to warmer days.....maybe even melt the rest of the snow. That's a trick to do when you get a new inch every other day.

Winter doldrums..... what to do, what to do. I know....make the worlds smallest cribbage board! Yaaa, probably some Japanese have painted three on a grain of rice, but this one really works. No pegs, you use a dry erase marker. I'm thinking hikers, hunters, fisherman might like one. It fits in a deck of cards if you throw out the jokers. It's diamond engraved on .08" White painted aluminum.

Other things I've done this week: I'm looking into building diamond engravers. I bought one for my CNC machine (hence the engraved cribbage board) & they are pretty expensive. I thought I'd make some & see if they sell. One obstacle: a proper spring. So, as of yesterday I know how to make small custom springs. Fun stuff! Just get some piano wire.... I got 4 different sizes...build a few jigs & voila! Little springs!

I got 750 lbs of nut coal this week for cheap....am willing to part with it if need be. I use pea size.

I hope you all have a smooth weekend!

This is my weekend off. Yeah! Our weather has been mostly above freezing during the day. No snow here. Day light savings is just a week away. This is the first time I can remember looking forward to daylight savings. I now work from 14:00 to 02:00 so daylight savings actually does give me an extra hour of daylight. Let me blow a big kiss out there to those wily geniuses in D.C.

Freddy; your cribbage score card looks awesome but I know of no one that plays the game. I guess card games are different in different areas of the country. We play euchre around here, especially in the bars and clubs. Hausey and pinochle are played at home or gatherings.

Tonight we are going to a beaver roast, that’s right they are making beaver. I will not be eating any because I don’t eat rodents but I may have a few beers. Other than that I guess there is plenty to do. I still have to file my taxes, there is an idea. I wonder if IOF can give me his accountant’s number.

Have a good week.

Yeah this weather is really reeking havoc with my roof. I have an ice dam 8 inches thick on the backside roof where the pitch is shallow and water has begun dripping in one of my bay windows this morning! Two years ago I filled tube socks with rock salt and laid them perpendicular across the dam. After several hours the sock will melt down thru the dam and create a channel for water to drain off. It works really good. But raises eyebrows when friends come over lol.

You don't want my accountants' number. She's an idiot. But it turns oit what she said about owning a home may have some validity to it as I've now heard of other people having the same issue. 3 weeks, still waiting. F'n government.

Thanks flr the coffee Freddy, I got thrown out of bed this morning. Wife is snoring up a storm and my little girl who has been sick aanted to lay with daddy ended up pushing me right out of bed. Oh well. I'm not sure what today's or this weekend's plans are. I wanted to go pickup a 100# propane tank for the generator but I was informed that after paying the mortgage we're broke. So, it's either I'm going to try and get the old draft inducer apart again so I can clean it and put it away as a spare unit or I've gotta figure hout why there is air in my hot water line. I know to 40 gallon tank we bought 3 years ago is leaking so that may be why. I should get off my ass and put the new tank we got on warranty in. Or, I could run my ashes to the local MUA and get rid of them. Maybe I'll just sit around drink beer and play video games.

Who knows what today'll actually get me to do.

The weather here has been fairly mild, 40's - 50's during the day 20's - 30's at night. But it's rained everyday and yesterday we had snow during the day even though it was 42*.

Make sure it is properly prepared, the last time I tried it I got some pieces of underwear stuck between my teeth.

IOF, Take the ash down and dump it in the sand pile at the lake's garage. Tell them that your helping to keep cost down and saving gas. My am will be at the coal yard and then home, Been having alot of pain in my knees and doc says try some drugs for 2 wks and if it is still the same we'll get you an MRI and see if we need to go in and poke around, not looking forword to that. Be safe. :)

Wassshappenin' folks.

Pretty neat Freddy! Nice to see an item NOT made of plastic today. ;)

Just waitin' for Rick to give me a buzz so I can meet up with him. He's headed up north snowmobiling, but unfortunately has to drive through this cesspit to get there.

What the hell is it with people selling cars on Craigslist??? I've contacted THREE people, who had no number - just the generic Craigslist email button at the top of the page - and I have yet to get a response from ANY of them. :x Do these people want to sell their *censored* or what? :? Drives me nuts.

Weather has been pretty stable the past week, aside from some high winds and a couple dustings. Got down to only 30° last night, and hasn't got colder than that in quite some time. Been hitting 40's all week during the day too. Lots of snow is gone, but still about 6" around the yard aside from where I plowed .. and over the septic tank of course.

Come on spring ....... DAMMIT!!

I hear that Lightning. I've been doing C-list for quite a few years now, and so far so good. I only deal locally. If I'm selling something, I don't go anywhere.

Just in the paper the other day .... guy drove up here from CT with an ATV to sell. Guy in Southbridge called & said he wanted to buy it, and set up a meeting. The guy from CT obviously isn't from around here! Southbridge is just a smaller version of Worcester, and just as shady. Well, he meets the guy ... he's wearing a black hoodie (RED flag!!) ... hops on his machine, rips down the street never to be seen again. Until the cops raided his storage place. Friggin loser thiefs ...

Hi all, woke up to 8 inches of snow yesterday morning and snowing this morning, sure does look purdy. I don't mind the snow, I can't stand the rain mix and that time of spring when the snow banks are filthy with sand and dirt and mud season, yeck! Any way, it's the Mrs. birthday today so cooking breakfast and the 5 yr. old is telling me what to do, what else is new. Have a nice day all and have a safe trip Rick if you can hear me.

Check out this article DK saw the other week... I think we all eat more beaver products then you think. Look at the last one in the column. "The 11 Scariest Things in Your Food"
http://health.yahoo.net/experts/menshealth/12-sca ... -your-food

It's certainly given me a reason to check the labels. Lisa
