u guys want some pics of the piles and piles of junk coal they are cleaning up? they are everywhere! you cannot drive a mile around here without seeing a culm pile

Thanks to this forum we can at least open ourselves to a little education. As we have seen in other posts, some folks out of this area don't even know about the difference between bit and anthracite.

I think the best advice for anyone buying coal is to find an honest dealer and get the data on the coal being sold. Every breaker here has to provide their analysis report sheets, if a dealer will not provide a copy then buyer beware.

I am thankful for the opportunity to go and buy the coal at the breaker, talk to the owners, and generally observe what is going on.

Why the harsh words? must be there is alot of dishonesty around your neck of the woods. my results from hawk mountain are posted for all to see.So if the 6000 tons I sell against reading and blashack dealers isn't good enough when the only sell 2000-2500 tons each then I guess I don't quite understand. Everyone has their personal favorites as I am sure you do also but I am not looking for a arguing match with you, if you are in mt.carmel then you set over some great coal, tamaqua and hazleton is also a great place to get coal but when I put my 2 cents in I was only saying that straight rice burns better in the leisure line stoves from the couple of hundred I have sold to the comsumers as we have tried everything from straight buck to mixing buck/rice in all diffrent percents but we had better heat from the straight rice. peace to you my friend.....I was not trying to ruffle your feathers

I don't think that you ruffled any feathers.

It is often hard to tell the intent of the message when posting on a BB, just don't take it personally.

IMO you run your business the way you want and your customers are obviously happy with that.
