Motorcycles, Post if you got em

Nice! 8-) One of my buddies had one of them, only a few years older. I did quite a bit of work to it to get it perfect for him. He rode the crap out of it ... I think like 20,000 a year!

I've been scouring the web reading & shopping for the RD since November. So far, I've got brand new throttle & clutch cables (complete!) , all my tranny bearings, some clutch springs & assorted tranny related springs, a new neutral switch plate, new Progressive Model 14 rear shocks, some RZ intake manifolds with crossover tube, & a brandy new set of DG chambers! :punk:

What I have left is every rubber seal in the motor, some carb modifications, & the front suspension parts. Getting Progressive springs with Race Tech emulators -- this thing is going to be kick ass suspension wise this spring! That will eat up the tax returns. Once I get all the parts I'll yank the motor & get started -- no sense having it sit in pieces in my cluttered barn. I want to get on it & do all of it at one time.

I'm in the middle of negotiating a full crank rebuild, cylinder boring & a porting job in trade for a BW80. Won't cost me a thing but my time. 8-)

This thing is gonna RIP when I'm done! Can't wait!! :dancing:

A buddy bought an 08 or 09 last fall in a salvage sale for $3200. Needed about $1000 worth of cosmetics (used prices) and he's about ready to ride it!

You Betcha! Got home after 12 hours and unloaded, and put it in the garage. Rented a 6'x12' u-haul trailer and it fit perfectly.

Will need to go thru it good and check everything, it came with stock seat and windshield (aftermarket Corbin seat and vented windshield). Removable hard side bags (Stock). Has New tires, new battery, new brakes, etc...

Now just have to sell my '78 Vintage XS1100

Dave-
You gotta love the Corbin seat. Takes some getting use to, hard as a maple desk chair but well worth it. A must for long trips. Both my bikes have Corbins. That Kawi is a great bike for the money. Just call her Connie! :D
Want to tour with me this summer? I'm thinking bout getting back to Eastern Canada. But I may not be able to keep up with the Connie.

Av8r has one also. My seat is the soft stock seat. Doesn't hurt my ass. But boy my Taint gets sore after a few hours. I know why cowboys walk the way they are now.
