It's the weekend! Yippee! Come on in for a few minutes. We've got hot beverages & cool people. Join us for some words & start the day off right! Fresh fruit, fresh eggs, and fresh air. Ahhhh, just right.

Just as I thought Spring was here, it's gone back to darn chilly. We had a few days of 40's but the last 48 hours have been in the teens at night & even during the day barely got above freezing. We did have good sunshine yesterday, one of the few sunny days in weeks it seems. Certainly FAR less sun this year than last. Perhaps starting this week that will change.

Son of a gun if uncle Bill didn't "escape" during the night 5 or 6 days ago. It seems at 1:30 AM he got out and the alarm didn't ring long enough to wake us up. Keeoh dog woke us....good girl! I'm guessing Bill was outside for 15 or 20 minutes before we found him shivering. No serious injuries luckily. I spent the whole next day rebuilding the door alarms. Now if you trip the alarm it sounds until we shut it off. It works! Yaaa, we could dead bolt all the doors, but we don't like making him a prisoner & we refuse to drug him. That would take away the 5 minutes of smiles he gets now & then. Twice this week we have taken him for a car ride at 2 or 3AM. I think we finally got his sleep schedule changed. The last 2 nights he's slept through the night.

I bought & sold some coal this week.... made $25, Woohooo! I also leveled the coal in my bin & measured it. It looks like I've used less coal this year than last. I did start it a month later than usual, that might have saved a bunch.

Hope you all have a smooth weekend!

Good Morning Freddy,

Sounds like a great breakfast. I'm having 3 scrambled eggs with sausage gravey drizzled over them and 1 slice of wheat toast.
No snow over night here in Central New York and the temp. right now is 20. Going to be a nice day.
I had breakfast yesterday morning with Freetown Fred and on the way home I saw 3 robins sitting along the road, hopefully spring isn't far behind. Have a great day Freddy.

Last night it got down to 15 degrees, 19 and breezy right now. Looks like old man winter is not ready to leave town yet.

Thanks for the coffee, I am headed out the door. Ivan has a haircut scheduled for 8 am, and after that.......I am going to test drive new cars. I have had mine for 9 years and it is dying of cancer. :(

We got 2" of snow last night, it's about 25* now.. still light snow.. should stop soon.
We've been having great Maple tree sap weather.. mid 30's in the daytime, below freezing overnight.. But I don't tap trees..
But a buddy does, and he's BUSY..
He bought a production evaporator, really neat machine, And he built a shed to put it in.. Busy guy..

Freetown: glad you go a loaner,, I'm sure you were suffering from computer withdrawals.

Hey Freddy will you adopt me and keep me in my old age?? !! You are a model for how people should treat other people and family..
too bad there aren't more people as caring and forgiving as you !!

Rob: what kind of new wheels are you looking at? 'new' or NEW ?? :D a job commuter or another family vehicle??

OK, time to get something accomplished..

Mornin everyone!!
Bacon, eggs, toast milk and coffee here!! Breakfast of Champions!! Actually it is since my team took the Championship last Sunday!! Great bunch of girls!! Snow is still hanging in there around here. With the blowing we have had I have no snow in a couple spots and over 24" right next to it. This time last year I was cutting a hole in my gable wall for a new kitchen window. A year later and I almost done with the whole remodel. Big job but so very much worth it. I'm with Greg, Freddy yours place sounds like a great place to land in retirement. You don't have to worry though, I am 49 and figure with the economy the way it is I can retire in only 75 years!! Well have a safe and productive day everyone! NWB

Three eggs scrambled in bacon fat with Monterey Jack cheese and the required Franks Red Hot. Two slices of heavily buttered white toast and coffee.

The perfect way to start a day of slinging a chainsaw. :D

I'm trying to take one a weekend so I don't get the full shock of seeing my yard bare all at once. :)

Had two job interviews this week. One I really hope calls me back and the other I hope DOESN'T!

Good morning all, coffee & cream of wheat here. Got up with all intentions of going to an auction but the four inches & falling put a stop to that, vans just don't do well in snow. So now it's around the house & garage work that is if the garage will warm up some. Last week my son borrowed the van & stopped by the auction house & emptied the load but I hadn't gone thru everything yet, he did sell some to the auctioneer for $145 but he will most likely buy something for me that he could use with the money. Did get to see some more signs of spring, the Holy Rollers were making their rounds & the State Police got a new unmarked car to start getting the summer folks, seems it takes about a month of them making money till word gets out everywhere. Hope everyone stays safe & maybe I'll not send this snow your way, then again I guess keepaeyeonit already has some so it's up to him now.
