Definitely won't hurt anything - good practice. No engine has ever died from .. lubrication. :D

I never buy the stuff though. I usually end up with enough leftover or stale premix to toss in the truck, Marquis, Polaris, cast iron burn pan, or whatever else is close by at the time. ;)
