I'm curios if folks still use this stuff. I have been using this additive in my vehicles since the 80's in both gas, 8 oz. to each fill up, and crank case ( 5-1 ) and considering to add to my newly acquired 98' Honda Foreman....it may help counter the 15% ethanol in our gas and can't be any worse to sensors than the crappy gas we are forced to buy!

ma, I put it in everything I've got with a motor on it. I had an old panhead that was SEIZED UP big time way back when--pulled the plugs & threw some Marvel in it, let it sit for a week or so & walla--changed the plugs & never touched it for 4 yrs.Ran like a bear, no smoke--nothing-- Yep, I still use it! I don't do all that every fill up stuff, about once every 6 mos & never have had any ethenal problems with anything

Yup. I love MM. Used it in the Chevy Nova when I built that and then used it in the Neon's 2.2 turbo motor when it was sitting on a stand. Haven't used it in anything recent though.

I can see putting it in the gas but wouldn't using it mixed in with the oil thin it out a lot? MSDS.

The solvents flash off pretty quickly. Adding 1 quart to a 5-6 quart sump will usually knock the oil down one SAE grade...e.g. 40w to 30w.mozz wrote:I can see putting it in the gas but wouldn't using it mixed in with the oil thin it out a lot? MSDS.

I've always had a can of MMO on the shelf.... inherited it from my Dad & there it sits...on the shelf. BUT... I do use it now & then for this & that. I keep it for when I seize a two stroke... THAT's when it gets used around here.

Been having trouble with my TBI on the plow truck & I got a good suggestion to use Marvel & a little dry gas & spray it down the throttle itself--we'll see how that works. Yep, it's good for a lot of stuff like Freddy said

Sounds a bit like Carter's Little Liver Pills. Good for whatever ails you, still used by old farts like us.

My lawnmower mechanic swears by it. Told me to put a cap full in the gas tank of my lawnmower on every fill-up.
