tech changed the board. everything checked out mechanically. Really couldnt pin point the main culprit but it had some sort of malfunction. It is now running normally....and plugged into the GFCI.

Congrats. Keep this guys number handy for when the warranty runs out.

This link is broken, either the page no longer exists or there is some other issue like a typo.

I send him one of my Harman boards and he returned it in three days all fixed for $40 and with a little extra cash he can do it quicker. ESP Thermocouples should be kept as a spare ($75) item, there are many posts on this one. My bet is that it is this one but as you are qualified check it out:

If you take care of those two items and clean the stove on time then everything runs fine. LOL with your shiny new stove.

I think your response was uncalled for. Theo was only pointing out your post would have been appropriate in the Coal Stokers catagory. You owe him an apology.

I try different things and something else happens. Its def a board or ESP issue. Tech is on his way out right now after I told him just to bring me a new stove on Mon.!

An electrican should know that GFCI's do not trip on "heat", only leaking of current to ground.

Well when you say "good bye", I hope you mean it as in you are not coming back to this forum. There's a word for people like you but forum rules prohibit me from using it.

Also if you are living in a home with this new coal stove as your only heat with two toddlers, in other words no backup, there is another word for you, foolish.

And finally although your head is apprently as thick as a brick, I'll tell you one more time, YOU POSTED IN THE WRONG SECTION DUMMY!

No one was trying to give you a hard time, just help direct you to the proper section where your problem would get the most attention. I've got a life a-hole.
