Obit

PostBy: Freddy On: Sat Mar 30, 2013 1:40 pm

Is this the obituary section of Freddy's coffee house? Yup, after a journey that we won't soon forget Uncle Billy passed away this morning. We took shifts the last 36 hours or so to see that he was never left alone. He stopped drinking a few days ago so we knew it wouldn't be long. For you youngsters that have never seen.... when an elderly person approaches death, they of course get weaker and eat less, and eventually they stop eating, and often very shortly after they stop drinking. It''s not that they go hungry, it's not that they die of thirst. They quite simply are no longer hungry, no longer thirsty. The last four times we offered Bill water he pushed it away. For a weak elderly person that usually means death within 72 hours. *sigh* Bill was no exception. He quit drinking Wednesday night, and here it is Sat....he's gone. I'm sure he picked up his dog Fritz at the Rainbow bridge and together they went hunting for St Peter. Godspeed Bill. You were a challenge, a joy, and a workout, all rolled into one. We were blessed to have you with us.
Freddy

Freddy,

Though we dont know each other,I have had your coffee and blueberry muffins and as everyone ,heard the stories of uncle bill. We are thinking of you and wish you peace after the long journey youve had with uncle Bill. You dont have to look to far to see that hes in a better place. He spent his last days with you and not in some nursing facility , I admire you for that and Im sure he'll thank you for it someday.

Sorry for your loss,

Waldo
