Mikos

PostBy: 009to090 On: Fri Apr 12, 2013 2:32 pm

After fighting aggressive cancer for the last 4 months, our Lab/Shepard mix is finally in the Great Hunting Grounds in the Sky. I just got back from the vets, we decided his Quality-of-life had decreased to the point where he was suffering. The Big Needle came out, and he fell asleep in my arms.
We love ya Mikos!

Aw Chris I'm sorry to hear that. Geesh ... seems to be happening to everyone I know lately. :(

Cancer is bad news in pets as well, as you already know. You made the right decision. I believe we shall see all our beloved pets again someday. RIP Mikos.

Sorry for your loss, as a pet owner I know how it feels I've only been here 6 years & have two buried out back. They sure know how to train people, I'm 65 & set in my ways but my new guy has the wife & I pretty well trained already. I'd say give it a while & get another, best way that I have found.

Chris, add my thoughts and prayers as well. Your dog looks almost like ours that is not doing too well either. He has a tumor growing inside his chest that will eventually make me take him for that final ride to the vet. And it appears that day is coming sooner than we would like.

Chris,
We dont know each other but ,I feel your sorrow. Ive lost em' in the road ,in the woods and in my arms. Werent any of them easy for me, but as time has passed Ive come to firmly believe that in your arms was best for them, and someday hell lick your face and tell you so himself. Peace...

Very sorry to hear about this Chris, I really love my dogs, I went only a year without a canine friend over the last 30.
You did the right thing, Our dogs usually can't tell us how they feel and how much pain they are experiencing. All we can do is do our best.

I hope you and the kids get around the hurt feelings quickly, and maybe another dog is in the future??

Sorry to hear this sad news, Chris. I enjoyed watching him take the tractor for a walk. He was a good, gentle friend and family member. He'll always be with you and your family. Remember and just smile - it always seemed like he did!
