KA-2 Stoker motor noise.

KA-2 Stoker motor noise.

PostBy: Kungur On: Thu Apr 18, 2013 3:49 pm

I just finished doing a cleaning of our KA-2 befor starting it up again as we use it for DHW. When the stoker motor comes on, the one pushes the bar to move the coal, I am getting a "noise". At first I thought I could just drip some oil in along the shaft but it looks like it will take a bit more doing.
I was wondering if anyone has dealt with this? I do have a spare mechanism and may put it on then take the other apart and lube it.
But would appreciate any advice.
Thanks!

Did you separate the motor from the gear box? If you did you may have the coupling out of alignment. Call Keystoker they will help you.

I did not seperate the motor from the gear box. My idea is to open up the gear box and re-lube it.Does this sound like a plan?
Thanks
