Didnt all of these senators sign an oath to protect and defend this Country?
Over the weekend, we came four votes away from the United States Senate giving our Constitutional rights over to the United Nations. In a 53-46 vote, the senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.

The Statement of Purpose from the bill read:
To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.

The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected all private gun owners in the U.S., and had language that would have implemented an international gun registry on all private guns and ammo.

The United States is a Sovereign Nation and we should never turn our
Sovereignty over to the United Nations so they can control our laws and
our way of life.

People this needs to go viral. These Senators voted to let the UN take our guns. They need to lose the election. We have been betrayed. These 46 Senators Voted to Give your 2nd Amendment Constitutional Rights to the U.N.

Notice that ALL are either Democrat or Independent.

Is there also a list that can be posted for the Senators who voted to uphold the Second Amendment? A few of them had to be Democrats.

I agree that it is a tragic event to see Senators voting to do an end run upon and thereby to circumvent the Constitution. This is but one example of many afronts to the Constitution from within the highest levels of government. How long can it survive such an onslaught?

And if the House ever voted to bring a motion of impeachment upon some members of the Senate, would the Senate subsequently vote to impeech its own membership?

IMO, the senators that voted to supersede the constitution should be tried for treason!!!

Do you happen to have a site that actually gives the wording in the bill? I looked the other day & couldn't find one at least that is if you are talking about the expanded background checks.

It took a little looking but I found a copy in English http://www.un.org/disarmament/ATT/docs/ ... 2013-E.pdf This is not about the expanded background checks this treaty would give the UN control of US gun laws.

Carl, I would believe then that this is what your talking about just making the rounds again, everything old is new again but it still doesn't make it so. It seems that every so often after a House vote on any near related topic someone starts things on another round. As far as I could find there have been no recent votes on anything doing with an Arms Treaty which in no way could over ride the Constitution in any event.

Way too close. This combined with the NDAA would make our constitution worthless.

That was indeed close! It's only a matter of time before this will get passed and gun ownership in the USA will come to an end. Virtually inevitable. And it will come much sooner than you can imagine, especially if immigration reform passes.
